A Sure Promise
Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” Hebrew 13: 4-6
God does not want us to be wanting for the basic needs in life. He has provided for all our basic needs but it is possible that He will not fulfil many of our desires and wishes. If we pursue the things of the world we may become greedy. This world is passing. It is not our home and as children of God we belong to the kingdom of heaven. Our reward is everlasting life in eternity, so let us trust in Mighty God so that we will never be ashamed.
God will never abandon us and with the assurance that we have we need not be anxious about anything.
We have Jesus and that is enough for us.
The greatest treasure that believers have is the promise that He has made: “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Faith and reliance on that promise and on the one who gave His life for us frees us from all kinds of fears so that we can indeed say with boldness: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”
